| so my sister called me at work tonight. she asked me what i was still doing at work. i asked her the same question and quickly pointed out that she had already worked 3 more hours than i had. we both grumbled about the busy business of work. then we said "hai gum seen la" and hung up. before i could even think of what i was working on, the earthquake started. it was DEFINITELY time to go home! after hanging out in the doorway until the shaking stopped, i ran back to my desk, shutdown, grabbed my purse and bolted for my car. drove home listening to the radio and different people's accounts of the shake and roll. relieved that there was only minor damage and that i didn't feel any of the aftershocks. 5.6 is not a small quake...

| i've never been a big fan of rain. i think it was the not-so-perfect combo of swim practice and el nino that did it. now that was a lot of rain. maybe if you're out in the forest or wilderness, the smell of wet trees is nice. but otherwise, wet trees and wet asphalt aren't exactly fragrant. i guess rain is good only when you have the day to sleep in and pretty much do nothing. =P
yes, there are some crazy people out there, but this is not the answer.
the prop 87 ads are getting really annoying. political ads are a huge waste of money. they should spend all that money on fixing stuff!!!
my fortune cookie from lunch on tuesday says: you will pass a difficult test that will make you happier. what should i make of this? go study and take the gmat? perhaps it is a subtler test. maybe i already passed it? oh who knows.
